Race night at The Boot raises £400 for Breast Cancer Care

The Boot in Baldock has raised £400 for Breast Cancer Care with its charity race night.
The event – organised by Hughes Casinos & Race Nights – had pub-goers place bets over the course of each race, which money going to the cancer awareness charity.
Landlady Paula Madden said: “It was an amazing weekend at The Boot. Thank you to everyone for raising £400 for Breast Cancer Care, I can’t thank you enough.
“We also sold out on roast dinners on Sunday – we’re very tired, but happy!”
The Boot has a number of events happening most weekends to suit all, including a Halloween disco on Saturday from 8pm to 11pm.
There will also be a Halloween party for the kids on Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm.
The event will run from 2pm to 4pm and includes food, music, party games and a visit and photo with Peppa Pig and a Stormtrooper, tickets are available at the bar and prizes are on offer for the best costume.
