The Baldock Events Forum want your ideas on what to do with the disused telephone box near Baldock Community Centre.

In this day and age of smart phones, there is little need for a pay phone anymore – to put the space to use while maintaining the charm of the phone box, the events committee want your ideas on what to use it for.

Laura Millard said: “The Baldock Events Forum have been offered the decommissioned telephone box by the Baldock Community Centre.

“We are looking to take this on but we would like to ask the residents of Baldock for some ideas of how we can use this. Some ideas so far are a book exchange, a tourist/local events information point or place where organised events in Baldock could have a stand – a registration point or information point.

“All thoughts and ideas are very welcome!”

Suggestions have included installing an automated external defibrillator, filling it with plants and flowers, and a drop-off station for bedding and clothes for the homeless.
