The Baldock Events Forum and the town’s Rotary Club is set for their “biggest ever” Christmas Fair to see in the festive season tomorrow.
The annual event will take place in High Street and Whitehorse Street and will bring festive fun for the whole family.
Santa will be arriving in style with a ride in his sleigh along High Street, before being dropped off at his Grotto in St Mary’s Church at 11am.
After visiting Father Christmas, the little ones can enjoy gingerbread man and stocking decorating, ceramic painting, and can even write a letter to Santa in Whitehorse Street.
Live music will be performed throughout the day, with the likes of the Baldock Community Orchestra, St Mary’s School choir, G La Roche, Steph Scott, PT Vox Dup, Scallywags, Praise B and The Fifth Wheel.
North Herts District councillor Jim McNally said: “As chair of the Baldock Events Forum, we are proud to be hosting the Chrismtas Fair for the third year.
“This year’s event will be bigger than ever, with stalls covering both Baldock High Street and Whitehorse Street. “Come and visit us to enjoy fairground rides, Christmas stalls and activities, as well as Christmas music from some great local bands.
“Father Christmas will be arriving at 11am and riding down the High Street in his sleigh, spending the day in his Grotta at St Mary’s Church.
“There will be so much to do and see, that you will need to come early and stay late!”
As well as live music, food and activities, there will also be a Baldock Bake Off competition, pitting gingerbread house creations against each other – Baldock landmark creations are encouraged – for a chance to win a stack of baking goods.
To enter the Bake Off, register online at www.baldockeventsforum.org.uk/christmasfair, and bring along £1 when you drop off your creation.
You can also book slot for stocking decoration online – 11.30am or 12.30am. Sessions cost £6.
