POhWER installed the phone - which can be by those in need to call the HertsHelp for support and advice - in the Baldock Community Centre in Simpson Drive.
The Chilli Lounge restaurant in Whitehorse Street sponsor the phone as part of its charity partnership with POhWER, set up in March 2018.
The launch event also saw the restaurant owner Abbas Ahmed present POhWER chief executive Mark Lister with a cheque for £790, raised through 50p takeaway donations over the last year.
POhWER is an advocacy charity which supports people living with a disability and mental health and/or other living changing issues.
Since 2011, the Chilli Lounge has supported charities such as Garden House Hospice Care and Herts Air Ambulance.
